Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay, an IHG Hotel
First Impressions
Walking into Crowne Plaza Hong Kong Causeway Bay, an IHG Hotel, you immediately sense you’re in one of those places that gets everything right. The lobby has this polished, contemporary feel without being stuffy β honestly, it strikes that perfect balance between luxury and approachability that’s harder to achieve than you’d think. What really caught my attention was how efficiently everything runs here, from check-in to the way staff anticipate what you need before you even ask.
Location & Neighborhood
This five-star hotel sits right in the heart of Causeway Bay on Leighton Road, and I mean, you really can’t ask for a better spot in Hong Kong. You’re literally steps away from Times Square shopping mall, and the MTR station is so close you’ll wonder why you ever bothered with taxis elsewhere. The thing about this location β and locals will tell you this β is that you’re in the thick of everything without the chaos of some other tourist areas. Couples especially seem to love it here (they rate the location 9.3, which honestly doesn’t surprise me), probably because you can easily walk to great restaurants, shopping, and even catch the tram to other parts of the island.
The Rooms
The rooms here actually feel spacious by Hong Kong standards, which is saying something. I appreciated the floor-to-ceiling windows that let in tons of natural light β you know how some city hotels can feel like caves? Not here. The beds are genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about this), and there’s enough storage space that you won’t be living out of your suitcase. What I found particularly thoughtful was the work area setup β if you need to catch up on emails or plan your next day’s adventures, you’ve got a proper space to do it.
Breakfast & Dining
The breakfast buffet is one of those spreads that covers all the bases without trying to be everything to everyone. You’ll find both Western and Asian options, and honestly, the quality is consistently good β I’ve seen too many hotel buffets that look impressive but taste mediocre. The coffee is actually decent (again, I’m particular about this), and they keep everything well-stocked even during busy morning hours. It’s the kind of breakfast that sets you up properly for a full day of exploring Hong Kong.
Why Guests Love It
There’s something to be said for a hotel that earns genuine loyalty β this place has more repeat guests than most properties, and after staying here, I get why. It’s not just the prime location (though that 9.0 rating from recent guests speaks volumes), it’s how everything works seamlessly together. The staff remember preferences, the private parking is a real luxury in this part of Hong Kong, and you feel like you’re staying somewhere that truly understands what travelers need. Whether you’re here for business or leisure, this hotel delivers on the fundamentals while adding those extra touches that make a stay memorable rather than just functional.
The concierge service in Hong Kong arranges Victoria Harbour helicopter loops, chef-led dai pai dong tours, and private access to gallery previews in Central.

Restaurant was good
The metro is very close, about 3 minutes from the hotel (Caseway Station, exit for Time Square). There's also a tram stop almost opposite the hotel. These aspects make it easy to explore the city and beyond, which was made even easier by the fact that we bought "octopus" cards to use on all public transport. ππ
The room was spacious, well decorated and clean.
Drinking water available free of charge in the room.
